Week of April 6

This week will be all about getting up and running. Everyone should have a computer of some type at home, or are picking up a Chromebook from school. If this is a problem for you please let me know so we can work something out. I think most students have a phone they can use as a camera.  If you do not have something you can use as a camera please let me know and we can work something out. For software, we will be using WeVideo. Not the free version, but an upgraded version. This software will work on a computer, Chromebook, tablet, or phone, so feel free to use whichever you have available or prefer.

Go to Wevideo.com, and log in with your stocktonunified.org email address. Your password is Storylab. Once in, you will need to change your password, add your name to your account, and so on. You will do this in the ‘my account’ section of the program.

About ten of you already have WeVideo accounts with your school email. Those folks will need to email me, and I will send them a code that will upgrade their accounts to the fancy-pants version we will be using.

Once you are logged into WeVideo, take a look through the We Video Academy section here. This section is full of very short helpful videos on how to use the software to produce cool videos. Go ahead and mess around with the software. upload some footage and see what happens. If you break it, log out and try again.
